pop pop

when i was young i lied all the time. like when i moved from brooklyn to the country and at my new school told everyone that i used to have a dog. i have never had a dog. the thing is who cares.
when i moved i didn't make any friends really. one or two. one was leah. she had the kind of house that doesn't really have a first floor. i think there was a washing machine and a commadore computer in a tiny room, but generally, you walked in the front door and up a flight of stairs. the living room was on the right side. they always had a christmas tree up.
anyway we played all kinds of games. once we were entymologists. we caught different kinds of bugs and stored them in bags or ziplock containers. we attracted bees with honey and glitter in a dish, and then poisened them with hand soap. we had ants, too, and termites and june bugs and house flies. we invented so many traps.
we would draw a lot too. we each had to draw a machine and the other one couldn't see it. then when we were done we would show each other our machines and decide which one would win in a fight. sometimes i just drew rocket ships that said u.s.a.
also i wrote books. my character was named pig ponytail. she was 33,333 years old. the most she ever said out loud was hi my name is pig ponytail.

we were pretty good friends.

still she didn't believe me when i told her my aunt invented the recipe for the pop tarts crust.
